      Before anyone signs

      The addendum is a starting point, not legal advice. Rules on pets, pet deposits and pet fees differ by province, state and city, and some places don't allow pet deposits or fees at all. Check the final version against your local rules before anyone signs it.

      Many places also don't allow deposits, fees or pet rent for service and support animals. If a pet is marked as one, the addendum leaves those charges off for it.

      Some pet screening services charge renters a fee for every pet. This tool is free, needs no account and doesn't score your pet. It's open source, so anyone can check that your information stays in your browser.
